Joan Krochak  Born and raised in Swift Current, Saskatchewan, Joan Krochak is a self- taught potter. At the age of 44, she changed her life path and with the support of her husband Steve, is fulfiling a life long passion to work with clay. Her perserverance has paid off as she has received recognition for her work at a number of juried exhibitions. Joan continues to pursue her craft with a thirst for knowledge which she acquires through classes, workshops and networking with other potters. Working with serveral different clays and creating numerous original patterns is a challenge but, "variety is the spice of life and, after all, it keeps you young".
